Say no to SUGAR!
It is no secret that sugar is a big NO; however, that does not mean that artificial sweeteners are good substitutes.
What are your good substitutes? - water, fruits, veggies, and a good amount of protein
How do I know what is an Artificial Sweetener?
- Aspartame (equal, nutrasweet)
- Sucralose (splenda)
- Neotame (newest on market)
- Saccarhin (sweet n low, sugar twin)
How much sugar?
Sugar is sugar - no matter what form. Yes, a treat is OK. Enjoy a cheat meal or a treat once a week. That is OK! However, every day will cause havoc on your body - inflammation, high pH levels, moodiness, high in calories, food cravings, extra weight.....should we continue?
When we say no to sugar, we are NOT talking about sugar in fruit. That is nature's gift to you - enjoy! Look at any packaged food you are eating from yogurt to an energy bar, you want the sugar to be below 14grams. Keep it low.
Again, enjoy what nature has to give your body in it's most natural form as possible!
